Hi everyone! Brand new to the forum, long time lurker however. Could anyone tell me if this Longines is Legit? I can't find any info on it! http://www.ebay.com/itm/292143610557?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thank you all!
Love those square cases! I've had great luck with my 431's. Love to just put up to my ear to listen sometimes.
Just saw this and looks like bidding already over. I've never seen a Longines with "Prestige" on the dial, but watch looked fine otherwise and likely had a 28x series manual movement. Not bad for a basic Longines for that price.
Argon, never had a 431 (I've heard horror stories if the movement wasn't taken care of on a regular basis). I do the same with my 30L though, love to listen to it tick away.
Seller claimed the movement was serivced, so here's hoping. I'll have my watchmaker look at it next week.
Thank you! I won it, However I'm fairly certain its a re-finished dial so it may likely go back. thank you!
Haven't worn my very first vintage watch in a while. Dirty patina waffle dial, 23z movement in great shape and serviced. 33mm without crown, but wears nicely. $50 back in cheaper times.
If the movement is in good shape, may not be a bad pickup for the price. Looks a lot like a mid-60's flagship with a 285 movement that I own. Dial markers obviously different but case size and 1260 all-proof wrench case almost identical.
I've not seen that dial before. Fascinating! Do you know the reference #? I'd guess that it has the cal. 23Z? @argonbeam @yako54
