I looked at mine under a loupe and found spots of paint missing on nearly every dot and number on the bezel and the 30 minute marker doesn’t line up with the marker on bezel. I bought mine from an AD and put pics and post on here a few months ago but now realise it doesn’t matter if there are slight imperfections as they are finished by hand and it gives it a bit of character. I love the watch, imperfections and all
Looks dynomite on the rubber!

I think the lume on the bezel pip is blue and not green like it should be on the 300M diver. But my eyesight in low light is poor so it doesn’t bother me.

My pip and minute hand are green. I checked when I got the watch, since I've seen variations on Youtube videos that weren't correct. That being said, I imagine that authentic watches with color variations that aren't correct could be worth more in the future like the upside down plane postage stamp!

Thought there was finally a thread on Omega Forum that I could get my wife involved in, she loves listing my imperfections. Oh well, I'll convince her to get involved in watch collecting one day.

That was my initial thought too. But also realized that this could also be easily fixed when I get the watch serviced down the road unless it becomes a collectible.

White seamaster bezel. I've tried looking at it at a whole bunch of angles and can't seem to unsee it.

The 9 o’clock bezel marker isn’t right but eh. It is what it is - just gonna ignore it.

Does the Helium Valve count 😗
Only if it leaks all that helium that Omega puts into the watch at the factory. 😀

Thanks for the replies! It is less noticeable when parallax is minimized.

Now the marker at 9 o'clock is Ok, but your maker a 3 o'clock is lower than it should be ::stirthepot::

I didn't know this. Are they really finished by hand? That makes me feel better about the multiple markers that don't line up on my bezel.

It looks like the 6, 7 and 8 are off the same amount in that picture. That being the case, I'm betting paralax/angle of the shot.

I'm trying to find an angle where 6, 7, 8 and 9 aren't slightly off - I genuinely can't. I think its just an imperfection of the bezel. Guess I'll just have to live with it lol.

I feel you. I had three different (latest model) SMPs and none of them had a fully aligned bezel at all points. On the other hand my PO is perfect.

Had... as in past tense? Did you sell them?

Because of the bezel misalignment? Or another issue? Throw up a pic if you have one on hand 😀 I do like a Planet Ocean.

Due to various issues. Misalignments, dust specks, bezel issues, date wheel issues etc. Even the infamous wrong lume pip color 😜. It just felt to me like this was a rushed project. The PO on the other hand is prefect.

Here is it on the OEM Nato.

Yeah, I'm not totally convinced that the SMPc is perfect in that sense. I've seen a lot of people have issues with theirs. I secured my dad a 15% discount on his (the one you see in my photos in this thread) and I almost wonder if I got played. Maybe somebody already tried this watch and noticed the issues. Maybe they noticed themselves and couldn't shift it. I got caught off-guard a little as I didn't look super closely when I viewed it. Either way, I've been wearing it for a couple of days now and can't unsee the bezel.

PO looks fantastic on your wrist btw. What a beautiful watch.

Thank you.

I still think the SMP is a great watch for its money. It just feels like the attention to detail is missing. If i was working on the quality control line i would be tossing 90% of them back in the bin 😜

I really want to get an Omega diver for myself next year. Might look at the PO 39.5mm as I haven't checked that out yet. Had plenty of hands-on with the SMPc though. It wears a tad large in terms of lug-to-lug.
