I've had my Seamaster 300M in white for a few months now, and I inspected it carefully when I first opened the box and frequently when it's on my wrist. Purchased from a reputable seller here, but was still skeptical simply due to the quality of some of the knock-offs available across the globe. My skepticism was assuaged when I went to Omega online and was able to put in my serial number and view the Master Chronometer test results for my particular watch.

Long story short, tonight I noticed an imperfection on the dial that I simply missed before. The hour marker at 9 oclock is lower than it should be in relation to the printed line. All other markers look good to me, and this is the only imperfection I can find right now.

Since it was purchased outside of an AD, I'm certain there is nothing to be done about this misalignment, and is's not terribly bothersome. However, it does make me surprised that Omega doesn't simply use a template to place the applied markers to the dial so that they are perfect each and every time. It's slightly surprising for a watch in this price range, but a search online shows that it's not that uncommon.

Can you spot anymore? Comments on this one?

I thought you were referring to the black spot on the dial.

No. Saw that early on with a loupe, but don't notice with the naked eye. There are a couple of black specks on the dial. The bane of a white dial!

And I thought those were just my floaters, those little “cobwebs” or black specks that float about in your field of vision. They are small, dark, shadowy shapes that can look like spots, thread-like strands, or squiggly lines.

To my eye, looking at the image you posted, it seems that one of the pins at the back of the mentioned index is not properly seated flush to the dial.
It looks as though there's a slight lift on LHS.

I could be wrong, of course.

I think you have a bit of parallax in your photo. i.e. the watch face tilted slightly down relative to the camera. Note how the 9 oclock black index is significantly misaligned with the bezel's '45' line.

Take another photo forcing those to be aligned. It probably won't completely remove the problem you highlight, but might lessen it slightly.

Or maybe this is a different flaw. :(

I agree with you on the parallax from the bezel to the painted black line. However, the position of the painted black line and the applied indice are not centered to each other. You can compare the 9 o'clock positioning to the 3 o'clock positioning

9 o'clock- the black line is not centered to the applied indice

3 o'clock- the black line is centered to the applied indice

I looked at mine under a loupe and found spots of paint missing on nearly every dot and number on the bezel and the 30 minute marker doesn’t line up with the marker on bezel. I bought mine from an AD and put pics and post on here a few months ago but now realise it doesn’t matter if there are slight imperfections as they are finished by hand and it gives it a bit of character. I love the watch, imperfections and all 8AE0F0A3-ADD1-4A6D-8917-F38E2CC5BE76.jpeg

I think my GMT hand has a very light misalignment at 6:00. But can't be sure...

Thanks for the replies! It is less noticeable when parallax is minimized. 20200914_210921.jpg

    It happens bud.

    I had a Rolex 116613lb, a $13,000 watch, that had a crooked rehaut

or a dial with crooked dial feet is another way to look at it

    sold it

My current Datejust has the same imperfection, although ALMOST spot on

On other forums I’ve seen $30k precious metal Daytonas with the same issue

not just parallax. there are all sort of vision distortion - retina that makes things out of alignment or bent when straight. Also the normal one of viewing with both eyes , the brain has to merge the two. try this: if you view with only your right eye (and with your left eye closed), you will see there is a huge difference than when you view with your left eye only (and your right eye closed)

It is for sure. In fact, I'd say it's pretty spot on, close enough not to worry about.
