It's not that nobody collects them, but very few focus solely on a single retailer (e.g. Turler, Beyer, Bucherer, etc.). I'm sure that many members would be happy to see more of your collection.

Here are a few of mine, though I have others.

Here are a couple of mine. Does anyone know when they stopped using E. Gubelin and went to just Gubelin on the dial. I really don't have a good idea of the year of mfg for each of these watches. A close guess would be 50s for the triple date and 40s for the SC dialed watch. Thanks!

Rick

First TD watch very nice, the second is more than likely a redial.

Found another one that I forgot I owned (pretty bad when you can't remember what you have for watches! 😀

Here is a 2020 entry for me, a pretty 3 hands black dial art deco numerals from Gübelin

Thanks for posting! I like a lot the movement of the alarm pocket watch!

Thank you, Francois! It is an Angelus movement, finished by Gübelin. I do not recall the caliber.

I've had a thing about Gübelin for a while and these have come around in the last year:

First up a fairly standard 8 day travel clock that was probably made by Jaeger

The reverso-style dial is really rather nice.

Not sure what the original application for this one was - it came fitted in a fairly rudimentary leather disc and I have a notion that I might try to get a replacement one made in tan bridle hide (Matteo Torres can probably make a wristlet strap but I think I prefer it as a pocket watch).

A really nice sector dial.

Have yet to identify the movement (which is stuck solid)

This one, in a full 18 karat gold case, belonged to my grandfather, I inherited it back in about 1973. It sat in a safety deposit box here in Montreal for about 25 years. In 2003 I went to work for a division of Swatch Group in Switzerland at which point I brought it to the original Gubelin shop in Lucerne for a complete refurb. They replaced the crystal, dial and hands (still had original parts!) but unfortunately I was too naive/uninformed at the time to request a return of those parts to me...I got the replaced mainspring and a few other bits, but no dial or other nostalgic/original parts. Aside from their potential original value, the original dial also said "Lucerne" under the Gubelin brand, which is how I found them to begin with. This new dial lacks the city ID as there are Gubelin shops all over the country now. Oh well, lesson learned. At least I now have an as-new 75 year old watch! gubelin.jpg
Nice one!

I’m going to buy my first watch! I’ve been looking forward to it for a while, and I’m really excited to finally make the purchase. I’ve already discussed with the ecosmart customer service about how to find the perfect used watch. They were really helpful in guiding me through the process, offering tips on what to look for when buying a pre-owned timepiece. They gave me great advice on checking things like the watch’s condition, the authenticity of the brand, and whether it has any service records or warranties still in place.
