hoping to complete my sports trinity this year when i get my VC overseas (to go along with my PP nautilus and AP royal oak).

but like any watch addict, i like to look ahead.

my first query for a next acquisition (maybe for next year if i stay true to one watch per year): a PP perpetual calendar or ALS zeitwerk?

thanks for your inputs.

Hi there,

I’d definitely get a Lange.

The level of quality/finishing/attention to detail just is incredible, and since you already have a Patek...

😀

Post-Trinity?

Only one thing comes to mind for me.

“Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds”.

I already have a Grand Lange 1. So another way of putting the question is -

What should i do first - have a second PP or a second ALS?

9 out of 10 times, I’m going Lange. I feel like the Zeitwerk is an incredibly sexy, beefed-up version of a standard dress watch from PP. Not saying Patek makes anything standard, but only because I prefer Lange more.

Thanks for the inputs.

I plan to retire from watch collecting when i turn 50 (eight years from now) and cap it with a YG (my first in this PM) president daydate.

In mean time, i hope to get that second ALS (zeitwerk as recommended above, not sure yet if the basic or the striking time), another nice seiko (either GS or Credor) and a second set of trinity. But this time not sport but all grand complications.

So a PP perpetual calendar (maybe the latest 5327). An AP jules audemars minute repeater (blue dial sings to me, hopefully a WG version available by then). And a VC harmony split seconds chronograph (hopefully there will be a version other than Pt by then). And maybe mix up the PMs as well. One will be YG, another WG and the third RG.

If i stick to one watch per year, that leaves me one more watch to aspire for.

This hobby is really addicting. Not even sure if i can stop by 50. But eleven days into 2019, i have managed not to buy a watch yet and keep my one watch a year pledge alive.

Incoming.

I agree. Best second lange to have.

Tad thick though. Still adorable.

I would go with the Lange. Far more interesting watch to me than the PP.
