Everything still stands as per above. But now I have reached 2000 posts. I try to contribute more than in the beginning. I have been thinking about why - and come to a conclusion. In the beginning I was sort of fed up with the internet part of watch collecting - having tried to contribute at local watch sites but lost interest in it as it was impossible to wade thru fan-boy country on almost every topic. As I wrote in my OP I was about to leave the internet part of watches. Then, with some help, I found OF. Here - even if it is named Omega Forums there is such a broad interest in watches that it got interesting again. And that makes it fun to write stuff again. Some serious and some just silly.

    Thanks!

Oh, and there are 67 watches now.

And again some random pics to lighten up the post.

Glad to have you here. ;)
Always good to see your stunning watches and photographs of them.
Some of your posts from buying a watch, cleaning, repairing to having them on your wrist are inspiring

Nice going J. Glad to have you around.

ps- when you get fed up with the internet, just take a break for a few days or weeks. There's more good than bad, it just doesn't seem like it sometimes.

Do they make a lens with enough of a wide angle to cover that? :p

I knew I had it coming...

No - I have tried but it does not photograph well. I have toyed with the thought to just pile them up in a heap and take a photo of it - but I have not got around to do it (yet).

No need they are all on WRUW and other posts. Research and they can all be seen, it's only 2000 posts to go through. :whistling:

    60 watches at 1000 posts
    67 watches at 2000 posts

    Trending the wrong way :)

I'm still amazed at how all your vintage watches look like they just came out of the box yesterday.

J, it's a problem with the camera. The watches in the center stay in focus while the fringes are fuzzy. If you could lay them in something a little concave in shape, you'd find they all end up clear. The problem is finding something big enough and the right curvature. You might be able to compensate by increasing the depth of field a little, but I'm not the guy to talk to about that.
