looks good to me. Love the arrow markers. I guess it's all a matter of whether you like the price?

Thanks for the help ! As it gets closer I’ll see how high the price goes. I was looking at a ‘54 that looked exactly the same and lost out at $900. Totally forgot to check in on the bids. I have a feeling this will go higher.

Looks like there is some damage to the dial between the 12 and 1 indices. Case has been over polished (note that several of the stars on the case back medallion are practically gone). I’m also not sure that the crown is correct.

Should be decagon for this year correct ?
Yes, I think so. If so, you can replace the crown with one that is correct, but I would be more concerned about the worn case.

You are aware this is not solid gold right?. It is a gold cap and steel. The listing is a little lacking in this important detail.

I thought since the posting said it was a “Rare Series” that the crown might be different. I didn’t think about the casing I figured the stars might be worn from wear . For future bids I know Omega services older watches for about $1000 I think I read , would they be able to get out that scratch off on the dial? I Also noticed a lot of the older watches have the patina , I know many people prefer it but would a service remove that ?

Omega offers a restoration service, but it’s expensive and it will devalue the watch as a collectible vintage piece. You might be better off just biding your time and searching for a better example.

Thanks !! You're probably right. I might just skip this one.

Those lugs seem outright deformed from polishing. Anyone?

I thought that at first too, but when looked at from the rear, all 4 lugs still seem to have a good thick layer of gold cap on them, so really not sure whats going on !!!!
