Possible fake omega?

Hi Y’all,

This is my first post on this forum as I’m new into vintage watches, as well as particularly Omegas. I was looking at a Pre-Bond quartz. I contacted the seller asking if I could see inside the case to ensure it’s a genuine movement. As I am new to vintage Omega watches, I hope y’all would be able to me.

Thanks,

M

Edit: Forgot to add; I contact asking to see inside the caseback, the seller refused as “they were not able to”

uh, maybe gather all the data about a watch prior to sending your money.

Oh yes, that’s the plan. 😁

I would just wondering if anyone sees something wrong with the dial face or the lettering looks off in some way

Nothing looks off to me. A lot of people selling watches do not have proper tools to open the caseback, and personally, I’d prefer them not try and butcher it.

The biggest concern is that the original Omega quartz has been replaced by the ETA equivalent - this happened a lot with this model. Depending on the price, I wouldn’t necessarily insist on a pic of the movement before buying, just a video confirming it was operating. But I’m also not a stickler for 100% originality of all parts if the case/dial/bracelet all look good - and if the price is low enough.

Looks good to me from the photos, good dial and bezel.
