Poly watch is great stuff on plexi glass.
The only time it has failed on me is when I have used it on a very old trench watches or old pocket watches, it kind of melted the plastic glass with a strong smell of Vicks vapor rub.

Anyone else had this?

Were they really plexi, or celluloid?

Yep realised that after I read the whole series of comments. I’m trying to get used to the various sub threads off my original one but thanks for the clarification.

Just a tip. Don't use Q Tips (Cotton Buds etc).
Even though they look soft, the fibres are abrasive and will leave scratches even though you can't see them.

Get one of the microfibre spectacle wipes and fold it to make a small pad and use that.
