Polerouter Questions

Hi -

I'm looking to purchase my first vintage watch and have considered many options (seamasters, UG dress watches, etc), however, I have taken to black dial with stainless steel Polerouters (date and no-date versions). They are absolutely stunning watches (as are many Universal Genéve pieces).

A few questions:
1. Is there a significant difference in the quality/desirability of the bumper and microrotor models?
2. Are any of the various models of the watch hard to service?

I found a watch that looks to be a good example of an earlier bumper movement model, but am unsure if it's a solid value ($1,250): https://watchestobuy.com/shop/universal-geneve-polerouter-1960s/

Does this watch look to be in original and good condition?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'll tell you this...

Any dealer putting a shit strap like that on a +$1,000 watch is to be avoided at all costs. If he's so keen to extract profit from a watch sale, what else did he skimp on?

Thanks for the thoughts. I'll be patient and look for something else to pop up.

Not to mention the polishing and the wrong crown. So you're paying 1000$+ for a watch with missing parts.

The black dial Polerouters are very attractive and I am always amazed at the price the dealers ask for any colour dial Polerouter.

At that price, and looking at the movement, it must be the rare "missing screws prototype"
