This is a fun thread, always interesting to see when nice design elements "catch on".

Badly redialed, obviously, but here's a Longines equivalent -- too bad as it's nice design.

Great thread. I have always thought a "Polerouter knock-offs" collection would be really interesting, but it would be large!

In all fairness the sales description is accurate, and actually I think it’s really cool if anyone has the cash to blow on a modified watch. The damaged case back however is really off putting, maybe that’s why the owner felt the dial alteration wasn’t so damaging.

« Original 1956-57 Universal Geneve Polerouter one-off custom-made larger-size Miceky Mouse dial steel watch in very good condition and in proper working order »
« Compositions 20217 »
« The custom-made silvered Mickey Mouse dial is in excellent condition, it shows no time patina and no oxidations. Custom red inner bezel »

Given the sellers history of selling a shedload of frankens and redials, im not particularly inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt any more... 😀
The caseback says H20214-x if you look carefully, so it started life on a gold capped model, (as did the dial).

I’m curious if “POLAROUTER” on the dial was intentional or a mistake

I noticed this one on Chrono24 - it's been there for a while and shows up in a search for "Polerouter". They're asking 853Canadian for it.

This brand always made me laugh. If you don’t get it, try to offer a « levrette » to a French woman. She may love vintage watch or slap your face !

This one’s quite appealing. Offered a year ago by a seller in Vietnam.
