Can't find any images of the OWIX, but for those with a fascination for absurd jewel counts, it's hard to beat the (collectible!) Orient Grand Prix 100 (yes, jewels) from the '60s:

Clearly not designed for import into the U.S. The duties would probably exceed the watch's value.

Here's another Polerouteresque model. I think the case and dial makers were driving design more forcefully in those days.

@Severin

Excellent addition! This thread is becoming a unique, not to mention frivolous resource!

Frivolous? It's about having a good read of the landscape/bigger context. 📖 Now if only they made similar, affordable, knock-offs - but of the Polerouter Sub!

That's wonderful - 82 jewels! Have you opened it? I bet the jewels are loose in there and just come cascading out when you do.

Also, there's some eagle down from the American bald eagle in there.. Plus claws from a dodo bird.

I must say I kind of like the minimalism of the dial

The Rado's aren't half bad looking, at least on photos. I understand the anchor rotates as time passes. Who could ask from more than that?

Not fair to call this a "knock off", I just didn't know where else to post pics of this lovely looking watch I just saw online:

I like this a lot! I don't consider it a knock-off as well as I find a lot of the vintage super compressors look similar anyway. For those who haven't seen it yet, here's an informative write up on Super Compressors - http://wornandwound.com/2014/03/24/guide-super-compressors/
