Polerouter dial. Legit or did I screw up again...

Hi.
Been looking for a good dial for my cal 218-2 Polerouter.
The one on my watch is a relatively good redial, but still a redial.
Last night I caught glimpse of a dial for sale in the bay.
No time to check it out except for on my iPhone screen before turning in. Put in a low snipe, and went to bed...

If it´s a redial, then it is better than the one I already have, but is it original or not?
I have seen some variations over the theme, and several does have the cross hair pattern (unbroken by fonts) like this one.
What is the experts verdict? (Sellers pics).😕😕😕

Not a redial 👍.

Edit: I should add though that this dial would be considered "period incorrect" for a 218-2 Polerouter Date. These came with one of the 215 date calibers

In addition to what jordn said above, you may find the following thread (there are a few others) that speak to the issue you raised re: crosshair running through the text: https://omegaforums.net/threads/polerouter-redial-question.22225/

In summary, the thread finds at least three bonafide crosshair variants, including a variant like the one featured on the dial you just picked up, where the cross runs through the text.

Thanks guys!
I am relatively calm about the authenticity of the dial then.
As @jordn pointed out the dial is not period correct with the 218 movement, however, after been chasing anything (!) that could be used for the better part of 2-3 years, I am willing to give it a go.😀
BTW: Does anyone have a recommended source of information on the various calibers used in Polerouters? I am thinking in terms of timeline, models and dials?

You have to use different sources to piece together the necessary info:
http://polerouter.de/
http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&Universal_215
Those sites are well noted from earlier research. So what we need to do now is wait for the "Maddox of Polerouters" to do the nitty gritty work of sorting it all for us😉!
Anyone knows what happened to the guy behind polerouter.de?
I tried to mail him 4-5 years ago on the address listed on the page, but it just bounced.

BTW: If anyone has a pair of SS hands for the dial in the OP to trade for other Polerouter parts please PM me.

I have a cal 215-2 (poor condition) with a good SS case and signed crown that is destined as parts donor. The dial is unfortunately a total mess.
Swapping parts from this towards a set of hands is my intention!

I'm sorry to argue with the experts and I know that this questions has been argued over and over again but I have two examples here that would say that "full crosshairs", in which case the crosshair runs through the text, could be redials. This is coming from two different websites sources. One is in French (I've mentioned this one before in another thread) and the second in Portuguese.

Edit : Notice that before the redialing the crosshairs where not running through the text

No one saying they can't be redials.
The two examples shown also have font issues. I have seen worse, but they are not close to slip through as originals.

There's a logical fallacy at work here, but is it that one? Seems more anecdotal to me.
aren't all logical fallacies anecdotal to a certain extent?
