Looks like Walthams are popular here, here's my only example from about 1928. Running well and keeping good time.

Did someone say Elgin? 1927. Maybe I'll get a better picture in more natural, daytime, light...:

here's my 1973 Dax...... you can see the great advances made since the Pocket Ben........ well no, not really.......

Is that "spring clip" what was made it "shock resistant"?😕
Like I said on another thread Everybody needs at least one "Dollar" type watch😟

Here's one a friend gave me before passing away a few months ago. I always think of how nice he was everytime I see all the things he's given me. From guns, pilot supplies, etc.

I took better pics of my 1927 Elgin to do her justice. I treated her to a spa and crystal replacement last month, with strict orders to NOT touch the dial, or polish the gold. Timekeeping is pretty good for an 88 y.o., at +15 to +20 day in 3 positions:

A quiet Sunday evening in Chez Alpha so another piece. A military B.W. Raymond from 1940, navigators watch and slightly unusual in that it has centre seconds.

HA, HA, HA ! I only wish. At least then it might be worth getting running, alas it is only a lowly 4th model. At best I think it would be worth about $75 in near mint condition.
