PO 42mm 2500 or PO 43.5mm 8900?

Hi all,

Looking for some advice on which PO to buy and keep.

Recently purchased a PO 43.5mm 8900. Stunning looking watch (I think it looks nicer than my ceramic non date sub), but it’s heavy on the wrist at 217kg. I’ve got 7.5inch wrists and I’m 6ft plus so the size isn’t an issue. But I like to keep active and I find the weight a bit annoying.

So I’m considering buying a PO 42mm 2500. I’ve owned several before but mainly the 45.5mm version on the rubber strap. I’ve owned the 42mm once back in 08 and regret getting rid of it.

So the options are go for the original 42mm or stick with the current 43.5 and swap the metal bracelet for a rubber one on a deployment clasp (cost of £450), this dramatically reduces the weight. I’ve already tried it on the nato from my Omega Spectre, which was a lot more comfortable.

Thanks in advance for help on this 1st world problem!

Cheers,

I alternate the 8900 between bracelet and strap. It's really a different level of comfort on the strap. I'd recommend going that route and not selling the watch.

That's heavy, I'm out, no PO for me.

I'll show myself out, LOL.

Sounds like a plan! It’s the what I’m was thinking but the thought of spending £450 seems a bit steep. That said once I’ve bought the deployment clasp replacement rubber straps are only £225.
Thanks for your positive response much appreciated!

My suggestion: Keep the PO and sell the ceramic no-date Sub to me 😗😁
