@yala Only 1 new sales listing posted per day, per the board rules.
@yala Please read the sales posting rules. They apply to you, too.

@Bernhard J, what is it about the listing and bumping rules that you obviously feel don't pertain to you?

Sorry, I yesterday indeed missed the rule that only one listing per day is allowed. And after a mod had contacted me in a very friendly manner and suggested to delete one listing and repost it the next day, I immediately reacted and asked for excuse.

@efauser , what did I do wrong today? Relisting of the second watch today just followed the explicit proposal of the mod.

P.S.: Do you consider adding photos and information in my first thread today, upon request of another user, as a "bump"? Well, I would suggest that "bumps" are quite different (and would not make sense one day after listing anyway), but will nevertheless in the future refrain from doing anything in my three different sales threads on the same day.

Rules are there to be respected and some users will slip up occasionally but I think we are all smart enough to know who the abusers are, so pls, let's not be condescending to the poor fellow who makes the odd "faux pas"

A bit of sugar is more effective than vinegar.

Now you’ve cost us all a chance at seeing what he had for sale over what amounts to a foot fault. You might have chased away a highly contributing member as well.

I’m the mod who was trying to work through this with @Bernhard J.

Let’s stop with the public shaming please. It’s just not necessary. The next time, we’ll close this thread.

Indeed the best method is to use the report post feature, which helps bring it to our attention and we can resolve it from there

Might it perhaps be an idea to restrict the respective rule to listings, and remove the "bump" part?

If a person has more than one item listed, here two, it is somewhat expectable that this person bumps both on the same day, since this person in that moment thinks about the both sales.

It would seem to make more sense to regulate that for the same item only one bump e.g. per month (or whatever longer period) is allowed.

Best, Bernhard

I think those rules make logical sense, but would be almost impossible to keep track of by moderators.

We are all just volunteers here. We rely on the members to police themselves to some degree.

If you have multiple watches listed, then you should be able to keep yourself on a rotation.
