Check out the completed listings for "Vintage Hermes Watch". You will see that this watch has sold 4 times in the last few months and has been returned. This is lucky number 5.......I guess. There is a reason this seller keeps his sold listings private. This "Hermes" looks like it came from Uruguay.

 

I’m voting no, but this is for reporting of fakes. There is another sub forum for asking if this is fake.

I did run across an Omega movement and dial mounted in a vintage Elgin square case. Since they were up front about what it is I guess that doesn't count as a fake per se'.
Seen several similar Franken Megas lately.

Fonts on the dial looks hand written. The seller has other listings of Seamasters which looked pretty fake.

Well some of the 711s were only done to two positions, not temps as they weren't all chronometers.

As to the missing text. Who knows. Replacement bridge? Broken engraver? Bad QA? Friday watch?
