Are they hard to find?
Not really. There’s also cal 133. Same but 133.8 is 21,600 bph as opposed to 18,000
I'm pretty green here - is bph beats per hour?
My only zenith
Nice watch. I can see what it is that makes me more vulnerable than most to being fooled by redials.
This pristine look in a vintage watch really appeals to me.......
Hard to find examples like that. Find one you like. You can always go up. Prices can be all over so if you find one post first and get some opinions
Is it an insult to an established OF member to post first and get some opinions? I would be reluctant to do that.
Plenty of nice vintage Zenith bumper watches in great condition
Rose Gold Captain
Maybe I didn’t say that right. I meant post a pic and link to the one you’re interested in and get opinions on the condition, price. Here’s my cal 71. Same as the 133.8 but with date. You’ll also see those cal series with Captain on the dial
After a while you get to know who are specialists in each brand or type of watch.
A friendly PM to said member will usually get a honest answer. I have used several gurus over the years
Oh man!! Must have another Captain. Really nice
Lovely as well!
It's official - I am a newly minted Zenith convert!
Any links to additional sources of Zenith info other than OF are greatly appreciated.
Well you will need a Turtle then.
This photo from @styggpyggeno1 says it all....
Why do they call the watch you referenced a "turtle"?
If we keep this rolling for 90 more posts I can finally throw up the WTB Vintage Zenith Watch ad I am looking forward to
Ahhhhh, I see.
I am basically a sponge, soaking up what knowledge I can.
