A very under appreciate piece but the details on these are very nice imho 馃榾 The subdials are not in the same size and it has different texture (circular) compared to the dial's texture (linen), very hard to photographed both textures at the same time. WOMW today!

Bunch of 60s chronos

@kmht2 I really love ALL of your Zenith chronographs, and the straps just fit perfect!!
If you collect chronographs from 1930 to 1970 Zenith is imho for sure one of the most interesting brands to look for.
Dials, cases and movements on your watches are really great!!

I just have two of the earliest "modern" Zenith chronographs in my collection.
These 1. generation Zenith Compur watches from 1934/35 are the first Zenith chronographs with two pushers.
They work with modified Valjoux 22gh movements with a second column wheel working under the dial.
Not sure yet, but maybe I will try to find a new home for one of them in the future. These Zenith Compurs are so rare that I feel it might be a good idea to share the pleasure of owning one of these historic timepieces with another passionate Zenith/chronograph collector ...

A rarer Defy with original dial. A lot of them can be found with factory replacement dial in a much deeper blue tone:

Been wearing these recently. Some of them can only be classified as almost vintage 馃槣

I tried On an El Primero Rainbow the other week. It was in the window of a pawn store I passed by. An absolutely beautiful watch. Unfortunately the pawnbroker knew exactly what he had and it was priced way out of my league.

There are still some rainbows that popped up with Japanese sellers as well as the Bay. Keep an eye on them.

Here is a odd ball vintage Zenith a Deck chronometer from WW2. Since most chronometer from Europe in WW2 were only sold locally due to high demand and the U-Boat blockade the US had to start making them them self's. Every one knows about Hamilton making chronometers for the US Navy but Vail watch co in the USA used a Zenith car clock to make them for the merchant marine and the US Navy here is one of them.

They used a car clock movement and up jeweled it from 6 jewel to 15 jewel and put a wind indicator into the movement you can see were the old jewel count was scratched out and put in 15 jewel. I bet few of you seen one of these. This would run for eight days.
