It has great character, as is. I like the patinated look. 馃憤 I would keep it on the watch, but it's yours to do as you wish...

Here's my 146D:

Wow yours is a NOS? I'm still considering changing the dial. Mine is a full set, complete with strap, buckle, box and warranty card. That's why I'm considering changing the dial.

Yeah initially I thought of changing becoz the top left water damage was a little distracting for me but after wearing it, it just look amazingly beautiful.

Thanks @Kmart and @seedo ! They seems to be rather rare as well, as it took me over a half year to find a nice one.

May I ask which cal is that? It's very nice.

No, it has signs of wear, I'd call it mint...

I was a real n00b when I bought it 2+ years ago; my first 18k vintage, and got lucky on eBay.

I knew almost nothing about condition vs. value. I wasn't looking for mint at the time, just wanted an 18k Zenith...

Still look pretty good. Lovely watch. Is the Dial repainted?

Sorry for this kind of double post (1st showed up in the "what did you buy" thread): my new blue Defy A3651. Looked quite nice, but when I removed the bezel, a kind of gasket slime flew over the top side of the watch. What a mess...really the most disgusting substance I get to know.

The original mineral glass was mounted (now it wobbles because of the vanished gasket) - think I will let it polish (by an optician?) to give it a nicer look without scratches. Interestingly the bezel is wider (and the glass smaller) than on my other Defy - and brushed. 2562 inside but no high beat/28800 marking on the dial.

rgds - h.u.

Here is a odd one a Zenith chronometer made during WW2 by vale watch co using a Zenith car clock. You can see a scratched out jewel count on the movement because it was up jewel for the wind indicator and for better time keeping Waltham also had a similar model during WW2 the US Navy and the US merchant marine needed these in a hurry for Navigation. Funny to see SWISS and USA on the same movement.. Got this years ago at a NAWCC mart and it amazes me how sellers on fleabay jacked the prices on these like it's a ton of gold I got this cheap the price they should go for. All ways wondered if this was a team effort by Zenith and Vale watch co in the USA.

And this Zenith Special I posted about this in another thread don't know if I did it here.
