The Abyss....Seiko 6309

That would be a 6306. we had a few scubapro 450's over the years in the Philippines and they are all 6306's. I wonder who's the bracelet maker as they all had rubber straps. Could be a home made jobbie as well.

Well produced video but the cynic in me thinks that many prop and wardrobe people grab period correct watches and call it a day. Yes, the speedmaster is important for Apollo 13, but does a wardrobe person agonize whether a Seiko diver represents a character’s desire to live a humble and practical life more than a Bulova diver?

Short answer, yes. It depends greatly on the production of course. Wardrobe people often do look more for the style or era correct look than the specific model, but Prop Masters tend to be more specific in their selections. Who the responsibility falls to is usually dictated by the screenplay. If the watch is mentioned specifically in the script then Prop Dept has a go usually, if there's no mention that they even have a watch at all it will usually fall to the Wardrobe person. Also, in the case that the watch has a specific function in a scene, such as a Bond watch, the watch might be fully replicated to fit the purpose and therefore necessary to be built by the prop dept.

Here's a few screencaps from my DVR...

If you happened to catch the hour long advert for NBC and all of it's relatives titled "30 Rock: A One-Time Special," then you undoubtedly caught Jack Donaghy's Breitling Superocean:

And the reboot of "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe shows him wearing this unidentified piece which is clearly NOT his MRW watch from 2014:
Gonna go out on a limb and say Mike is wearing a Zenith of some kind. Just be a SWAG on my part.

Tom Cruise in Minority Report... Omega X-33 Gen1 reference.

Various takes of the computer modded watch

A Gen1 example

The X33 can be seen on the Spyder Robots scene, when Tom Cruise is hidding in the bathtub...

Watched an old rerun of Nash Bridges. Look at what Don Johnson was wearing:

Looks like one of these:

Bulova Spaceview!

It is a Spaceview, but I believe it is an Alpha model because of the pointy design case at 6 o'clock

Yes, and the watch COST only around 9k when released, if you could find one. What does it go for today... 30-50k?

Not so much featured... but a little inside joke if you know what to look for.

This is the ending of X-Men Dark Phoenix.

I'd love to know what watch nerd had the idea to give such a subtle nod to the rivalry between two major characters like this.

I think McAvoy does a nice job in this role.

Also I want that watch lol

I think McAvoy and Fassbender are both watch nerds. So I would bet it is from one of their collections.

I laughed when I saw what the watch was.

Watching the Great Heist now. The team leader is double wristing. Casio digital on right hand. And an analog three hander dress watch on the left. Cant make out the brand.
