Watch movement shipped to the US, and assembled with a US made case by Ross.

Front loader means the caseback cannot be removed and everything comes out the front.

    Google "Ross case omega"

Thanks for the information. Does that decrease the value? Is the price reasonable? I am a newbie and any advice will be greatly appreciated:)

The watch has already been sold, are you the buyer?

No, since to you it was worth the price you paid otherwise you would not have purchased it. To determine the price to collectors you need to look at the price of similar watches that have sold on eBay.

I'd value the watch a little less then you paid but I'm not that knowledgeable on these.

Part of learning is doing some of your own research. The refernce number is in the back so you should be able to look at the eBay sold listings to decide if you overpaid or not. You can also try searching the internet for sold examples. Once you have done that, come back and discuss what you found. This is sort of like the Wizard of Oz asking Dorothy to bring him the wicked witches broomstick. In the end, after a boatload of effort, Dorothy learned a lot.

You've ended up with a decent gold watch with a dial in very nice condition. If you overpaid, it wasn't by much and you certainly did a lot better than if you'd gone to a dealer. That's not bad going for an unaided effort. If it's your first vintage Omega, you were a lot luckier than some!

As a new collector myself I have 1 thing to add. I factor in the cost of a service to the total price of a new watch. If you are going to wear it and expect it to keep halfway decent time I think its a must. Plus some of these watches just deserve a little tlc after being around so long.

Think $300-400 for the gold and $300-400 for the rest. A Classic. Good buy for sure.
