Hi there. I asked Longines about my 14k gold women's wrist watch pictured below. Here is the information I got back: " Originally, the serial number 8'866'001 identifies a Longines mechanical manually wound movement, caliber 13.15 (also called 4LL). It was invoiced on 15 October 1953 to the company Longines-Wittnauer Watch Co., which was at that time our agent for the USA."
My question is, how many copies of this model were produced and how much it may cost today? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I had some trouble adding photos a few days ago. Maybe just close your browser and try again. In the interim, take a look at eBay’s “sold” listings for comparables that will guide you on market value.

I will take a shot at the questions sight unseen. 😁

Nobody knows how many were produced, especially for a nationally cased watch, and that won't affect value anyway. Sadly, ladies watches are not highly collectible and for a gold watch the value is mainly connected to the gold content.

Welcome, nice watch and the movement appears excellent.

Sadly, gold content plus maybe $50 for the movement if someone needs a part or two or a swap out.

These watches can't be sold today because they are small in size and not stylish anymore. Who could want this on their wrist ? Most would just melt it for the gold and would be doing everyone a favor.
