Hello, I have a problem with my Marine Chronometer. It got broke and I try to find the way if is possible to fix it as I don't want to sell it for part ;(
So the watch has been inspected by my specialist and and apparently the problem is as follow ( Please mind google translation now )
The electronics are damaged - no quartz oscillation, the coil of the stepper motor is damaged (no regeneration possible) and one pallet in the escapement anchor is broken.
I have contact the Swisstime in UK and guy told me that they are missing one part and suggest to send the watch to Omega Switzerland.
...and know do you have any experience with it? , I heard opinion" they charged a lot of money for inspection saying that we are very happy that you own our watch, but we cannot help as its vintage and we run out of parts etc "
Please advise as I want to really save this watch.

Which indicates that they don`t have parts to service your watch anymore.

Where are you located?

Probably too many broken modules for STS to do the work as they have a limited number of parts...

Chances are the prices of two new modules and servicing would be more than buying a used working model anyway, they can be found around 2000€ if you're lucky.
