·Probably genuine, but with a poorly repainted dial. The movement looks very dirty and/or corroded, obviously, and a piece of the regulator is missing. Can you show the inside of the case-back please.

So, yes it's genuine but it's had a lot of work that isn't of a particularly high standard.

·Return it if you can. It will cost more than the purchase price just to put the movement in decent shape, but there's nothing that will improve that dial except a better redial. That's more money and it still won't be authentic. Instead, buy this: FS - *Reduced* Lovely Omega Seamaster from 1959! | Omega Forums Take it to a good independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account. Have the movement serviced and the small hole in the lume on the hour hand repaired and you will have a very nice, reliable authentic vintage Seamaster that you will be proud to wear.

As Dan says the logo is a generic replacement. It should have an Omega logo. The caseback has been heavily repolished. I don’t know if this reference had a caseback logo but it’s been refinished so hard the original caseback finish, whatever it was has been removed
