    Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the model/calibre of this watch? I'll post pictures below, it was my grandfather's watch, purchased either in the late 50's or late 60s/early 70s and is an Omega Constellation automatic chronometer; apart from this I have no other information, I can't find a model number or serial number or anything on the back of the case at all (which makes worry slightly about the authenticity of it) - can anyone help me identify anything about it, or give me a heads up as to how I might find more information on it? Apologies if photo quality is awful, just taken quickly on my phone!
    Thanks! IMG_0875.JPG IMG_0876.JPG IMG_0877.JPG

Looks like a ref. 2852 and would have a cal. 501 movement inside...these are from early to mid 50s. Seems to be in nice shape too!

Some of the painted minute markings do not align with the metal furniture tips very well, and the Omega symbol if off center. Sure makes me suspect a redial.

Could also be a 2782 with cal. 354. All the pertinent info is on the inside of the case. Get the watch to a watchmaker to have it opened for ID as well as service if it is intended to be keepsake.

The dial is totally original. Small imperfections is nothing out of ordinary.

Thanks for the info. That seemed more extreme then some of the cases I have seen in my short duration here on the forums. Definitely still absorbing info.

It could have to do with the camera angle as well. If you look at the first picture, the logo is very much on centre while in the second pic, it's off.

Doesn't the 2782 have the printed "Omega" as where the 2852 has the applied "Omega"?

Oh, about the 2852 dial & movement, the earlier 2852s have RE dial and cal. 501 while the later ones have ER dial and cal. 505. There may be different combinations in between, but if the OP's watch is a 2852, it'd likely have cal. 501 instead of cal. 505. ;)

There's always exception for a nice watch, especially a nice watch by a lady. :)
