WOW, that blue is incredible! Such a deep blue... reminds me of the ocean. Gorgeous watch! Wear it in good health

Thanks...but not mine unfortunately. Had some fun at the VC boutique.

If you can manage it this is a great time to be a buyer with so many people looking to liquidate their collections for financial reasons. Just today I made a contact with a doctor in the US selling off his pieces and a foreign dealer who has some nice Omegas who have promised to send me lists of available pieces. I bought an Omega today in fact, but won't reveal it here until it gets the full Nesbits treatment.

Also, I am all in on those Longines Heritage pieces, especially these two, and I may need both.

Yeah, most reissues seem to bone it in some way- case is too big or too thick, dial proportions are off, or they go too far with the faux patina (hello Omega!!). These seem to get it right- they didn’t try to put a “twist” on them or make them something they aren’t

Well said, and I dare say most people who would spot these on your wrist would assume without hesitation that they are true vintage pieces. What really draws me in is my love for wearing my watches every single day no matter what I'm doing and this would give me the freedom to "go vintage" without too much worry! Now if only Omega would pay more attention... stop putting date windows on your reissues guys!

I only wish the Longines above were both true manual-wind pieces and not automatics. That would make them perfect in my eyes because the morning ritual of winding up a watch is one of my favorite aspects of collecting. That, and if they offered an optional "sterile" caseback, but that's asking too much.

Try a Rolex OPD with a slow-set date, that will get your morning routine going! 😒

Same here! I'm eyeing the one on the left. I called up a local Longines Boutique and they're releasing in the fall.

I'm noticing we have very similar taste in watches, your two acquired pieces and the Seiko you mentioned are all favorites. Well crafted, durable & timeless watches, minimalistic designs, and with a vintage touch. Can't wait to see all the pieces you show us here in the coming months and years!

Thank you for making me feel welcome. 😀 You're so right- I am a sucker for vintage style. It's nice to see brands releasing a wave of new vintage for us who enjoy the old school style.

Have you delved into actual vintage? The world is your oyster if you have a keen eye and a good watchmaker. Particularly if you have smaller wrists and can pull off 31-36mm watches.

You're right, however, I did pick up a second job recently. I plan on working extra to pay off bills....and extra from that will hopefully go to the Snoopy. How quickly does Omega usually release new watches after they're announced?

What he said. And, if you are a slight lady (my older sister couldn't wear a vintage "short" strap... too big!), you can get lots of nice straps that few other people can wear. NOS short straps? I bought an Omega 1950s not realizing it was a "short". Whoever gets that one is going to be very very happy (I shall put it up for sale soon).

Buying vintage intimidates me a tad because I'm not entirely sure what to look for and unfortunately, do not know any local watchmakers. I suppose I could ask around/research.

Where are you? No time like the present.

Also, lots of people mail their watches to experts. I sent my Seamaster Professional to Nesbit's in Seattle (I am in the Milwaukee area) because my luck with Omega service has not been good, Nesbit's are authorized service, and they have a good reputation.

Looking forward to seeing it up for sale. I have a 6.3 wrist that can pull off small and up to 44 mm, but if it's too lug-hungry, it just ends up looking silly on me. lol
