Q8 as I’m pretty sure everyone knows it anyway. 1) a strong internal magnet useful for unzipping dresses, and attracting canoes and compressed air pellets, and 2) a special feature whereby he could immediately collect it from Q without first having to purchase a couple of precious metal references.

Do I get half a point ?

6. In which Alfred Hitchcock's film does a character refer to the watch she owns as a "Philip Pateek"?

I could only think of one Hitchcock in which a watch plays a part in the plot, but it's not what Grace Kelly wears in Dial M for Murder. So big fail 'cos I've got all but a couple of Hitchcock's talkies 🙁

7. What watch did Elvis Presley wear in the film Blue Hawaii?

Hamilton Ventura.

10. The royal in the name of Audemars Piguet's best known watch, the Royal Oak, refers to what member of royalty?

King Charles II ?

11. Which watch company timed the famed 1936 Olympics where Jesse Owens won four gold medals?

Everyone here knows that!

No. 6 ..... Lifeboat. Tallulah Bankhead said it, and then used the bracelet watch as fish bait, eventually losing it in the water shortly before they were rescued. Easy come, easy go.

No. 5 ..... I'll guess Timex.

No. 5 .... how about Bulova?
5. Correct...Damn... you're good ::rimshot::
The ad aired on July 1, 1941. It showed an outline of a map of the United States and in its center was a watch dial labeled "Bulova Watch Time". The image remained on screen for 20 seconds while a voice announced the time. The commercial was aired by WNBT during the Brooklyn Dodgers-Philadelphia Phillies baseball game at Ebbets Field

Timex Ironman Triathlon, and Omega according to this, however I can't seem to find the ad in question...

I googled the answer as I was intrigued as to which brand would publicly state something like that, I was rather hoping it wasn't Omega.
I'm looking forward to the answer to #4!

1. Correct. Omega, in a radio ad, suggested Clinton give up his Timex and don something a bit more dignified.

9. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was a white-faced Patek Philippe, with a blue enamel back. (I'll bet she didn't actually buy it though: no doubt Messieurs Patek and Philippe were discreetly invited to present it to her...)
9.(i) Q. Which small child was among thousands of horrified people who witnessed the destruction by fire of the Crystal Palace in 1936? A. My mother! Wish I could have seen that building - it sounds wonderful, and I know it had a place in architectural history. She spoke of it often, even though she had been small at the time.

9. Correct. The piece was a keyless-winding, baby-blue enamel pendant watch ( the color was said to match Victoria's eyes) adorned with diamonds. Victoria also bought a Patek for her beloved husband Prince Albert. You are correct white dial, I meant what color was the watch.
