I have just over a 7 inch wrist.
Yes it's on deployment but due to me wearing it everyday for work I wear it on an after market strap as I believe the stitching is vulnerable to fraying? Save the original for retirement!
Love everything about this watch, even the boxing is cool.
That's not the correct box. Someone gave you the Ploprof packaging by mistake.

I’ve had 3 42mm Planet Oceans. All of them were the 8500 movement. I have a 7.25” wrist which is rather flat. I gave the first one to my son after I’d had it for a few months because I bought a Rolex BLNR and it was his grad year. I missed having a PO so I bought another one. I had it for a couple of years and then one day I saw the 42mm titanium PO. I had to have it. I love it. It’s light and comfortable. Very easy to read day and night and keeps great time. You have to search a bit to find them but I think they’re the nicest PO out there. Here’s a photo or two. The colour changes with the lighting. Good luck with your decision and search.

Wow wow wow!!!

What a lovely pair you have!!

Can I ask what size wrist you have and any issues with your 42mm PO?

thanks

my humongous wrist is 6.5ish in. I’m mid build. It’s one of my fav. 42mm is just right for me. I tried on 39.5 and preferred 42. It’s a little more watch for the money. Howver, if It were my daily, I’d go 39.5.

zero issues, since new. It’s a tank, just like many modern O. I don’t abuse my watches, but I don’t baby them either. I go thru my day, doing all the dude stuff, shooting hoops, jogging, playing w Barbie (ahem, with my daughter) with whatever watch I put on in the morning. I made a mistake of removing my watch to play ball in my teen, and never saw it again. My watch stays on me till I come back home. If it fails on me living life, it doesn’t deserve a spot in my box.

For your wrist size I’d go for the 42mm for sure! It’s a contemporary size that compliments the contemporary design of the planet ocean. For sure try them both if you are able to but I’d go for the 42mm.

Who knows with Omega?
Couple of available Ploprof's at the moment.
The orange strap one comes with the wooden box?

If it's not the correct box, it should be.
The orange stitching is identical to the watch strap, I don't think there is a Ploprof with this stitching.
Makes sense that the box mimics the watch?

The red case is for watches that come back from the service center.
The wooden box is supposed to be for gold models that were supplied pre-mid-2015.
They are not always paired correctly by the dealer, or someone swapped the boxes after the fact. Your box was only ever paired with the Ploprof. But that's okay, because it's just a box and the watch is where the good stuff is at (it's funny how you have the box as your avatar).

Anyways, your pictograms card is supposed to have a little icon that matches what the box has to tell you what it's supposed to come with.

Never knew that about the card.
Great to learn something new.
You're right, the box has so and the card has 3.
However, I'm more than happy to have this box with this watch.
Many thanks for the info.

You need to try them on. I can wear a 45.5 Planet Ocean first gen but not the 2nd gen.
I recently tried on a 39.5 and I loved it.

wrist diameter is not the sole factor.

100% I've got 5 45.5mm PO's (4 modern, 1 first gen) and find even material to material they wear quite differently.

The 42mm didn't do it for me as the stack height seemed way too high and disproportionate in relation to the case size (in the 8500 series).

I prefer slightly bigger watches (I'm big) but that said I have a few 41 and 42mm watches as well that I think fit great.

In short, try before you buy.

I think the smaller ones look a bit disproportionate. The 42/43.5 look nice and modern to me. Especially considering it's such a sporty watch. I have a 7.5" wrist so not far off from you. I have two 45.5s and even though they are definitely large, I enjoy the presence.

Is that the Casamigos LE? Looks really cool. I've never really seen a non-marketing picture of it.

That it is
Very cool. I love the matte finish to it.

I have the all black version of the Deep Black but restitched the strap with black thread (like the Casamigos edition) to black it out a bit more.

What great watches! I find they really fly under the radar nicely. People typically think it's some Garmin or G-Shock until they see it up close and are dumbfounded.
