Dear Omega experts, I could buy a nice Omega 14902 pie pan. How ever the watch is not cheap. Wenn looking in detail to the dial, the outer ring of the pie pan dial has a brushing like "Sonnenschliff" and not a brushing perpendicular to the center part of the dial. Most dial I found have this. Is this Sonnenschiff in the outer ring OK or a sign of a redial? Many thanks for your opinions. By the way the crown is not a right one but that is fine to me. Arnout
The dial ( and the crown ) are both correct. It's a nice looking watch...the question are now how's the rest of it and what's the price?
The dial looks fine to me, nice clean example. Dials were manufactured by different companies so you will find slight differences. The missing ‘officially certified’ is also correct for this reference.
The movement looks good, without scratches and still the original yellow seal Just needs cleaning I think. The rotor has a ding, but is easy to replace.
It is a nice example and worth the price. As for the crown, it is clearly the right shape but looks too deep. It seems like you already know this anyway.
Asking price is decent. I believe that's the original yellow gaskt in the back which is a good sign that it hasn't even messed with over the years. It does ha Weber mean it's likely to need a service sooner rather than later.
The exact same watch is currently up for auction on a Swiss auction site, so if you got it offered for 1200 € chances are somebody is trying to scam you.
So.... how did it go? any update on input Henneth provided? Is it a scam that needs reporting for protection of fellow forum’ers?
