Posted on here last week, received the watch in question. Camera quality not great but it’s beautiful! Still deciding if I’m going to pair this with a gold BOR bracelet. It is a gift for my dad so I might ask him first. What do you think?

Looks very nice. I would vote for a dressier (less sporty) strap, but not for a gold bracelet. With a nice strap, your father can wear this watch on many occasions without making a spectacle of himself. Also, a solid gold bracelet would cost many times the value of the watch, and gold-plated bracelets are pretty crappy.

I concur with Dan. The 167.005 is quite a dressy watch. I would go with a thin lizard or crocodile (real or "grain") with this model watch, though your choice is ok too. Here's mine.

I went with a crocodile strap for mine.
That's where the filthy beasts belong: strapped and around a wrist. Beautiful watch, congrats

A classy watch deserves a classy strap, good advice above. A gold bracelet is rarely classy, gold plated never imho.

A beautiful watch ....... iconic. I find that a red leather strap goes well. They're interchangeable anyway.

Hi all, my name is Nicolas, I’m very new to the world of vintage watches but I’m looking to start my journey with an Omega Constellation pie pan crosshair. I’m still negotiating the price, but it’s likely to be around USD1300. I’ve noticed this watch comes in a wide range of different variations, and sometimes is tricky to know whether is a good deal or not. This is the watch I’m interested in right now.

The case seems heavily polished, specially on the back. I don’t know how much that affects the value. Any insight from you is really valuable for me! Thanks a lot!!!

Hi I’m by no means an expert but besides the medallion you mention, the second hand is incorrect for this reference and should not be extending beyond the minute indices. The crown I believe is also incorrect, the minute and hour hands may be as well.

The price is also a pretty big red flag imo. If a deal is too good to be true…
