Hello y'all,

I was browsing yesterday's sale @Phillips and I found myself pretty smitten with the 2998-2's result: most of the watches sold achieved pretty high results, but this Speedmaster ended up going for $32,5k, whereas we've seen -1/-2 fetch between 50k and 100k (obviously based on condition, with tropical dials achieving big premiums).

Can anyone spot any issues with the watch ? Granted, the case looks very polished, but the dial looks beautiful & correct as do the hands. The movement is in range, and comes with an extract. The bezel looks correct as well but the font looks maybe a bit too thick compared to other base 1000s (I have no idea though as I've never handled a correct black base 1000).

I'm pretty sure that this watch has an obvious issue, otherwise it wouldn't have sold for the exact same price of the Ed White below, but I can't spot it. Anyone wants to play ?
