I recently purchased an early 70s seamaster reference 166.0111 - can anyone identify what the period correct bracelet model would be? Also, what should be the length of a bracelet that has all of the original links?

The only correct bracelet I am aware of is a 1171 with 650 endlinks. 1171 bracelets are easy to find. 650 endlinks are not. The combo is likely worth as much as the watch, if not more in good condition.

One alternative is using 699 endlinks with a 1171 or finding another bracelet with straight ends.

As far as I know, there isn’t any standard data out there about lenghts of full bracelets like there is with Rolex bracelets. 1171s varied a bit depending on where they were produced and the type of construction.

Thanks for the quick and detailed response. I’m not sure if it’s original much less authentic, but the bracelet that came on the watch has a reference 1286 / 248. So does that mean it’s not original or just a similar style that was swapped out? And I assume eBay is the best place to find a replacement bracelet?
