I love mine. Nothing like as shiny as under the ad lights. Looks much better in natural light. I’m wearing mine on the rubber currently. At 78 grams it’s like I’m not wearing a watch. Super comfy.

Will you sell it next year?

I prayed they would make a smaller version of the Pelagos. Could never justify the original profile. Overall I’m undecided. It’s arguably better for my wrist and proportions but after trying I didn’t feel a connection. I would much rather they design a new watch than resize their existing lineups.

Agree.

I went back this weekend to have another look (the AD owner bought one for his personal use) and still find it a bit flat.

Definitely a superb piece and an easy wear, but quite a different feel overall to the Pelagos blue I fell in love years ago as my first luxury watch.

It just feels like it's missing something. I had watched this review prior to visiting and potentially had higher expectations. Maybe a second glance would reveal a new perspective, but overall I can't deny that it's a lot of watch for the money.

Just completed a purchase for one, paid £300 over retail but assuming by the time I make it to the top of the waitlist there is a good chance the price will have gone up. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it, it’ll be my first titanium watch so be interested to see how comfortable it is.

Not one who likes to pay above retail myself but think you made a good choice. Titanium is awesome, I have the Zenith covergirl which is as light as a feather, the ladder bracelet helps a lot too.

Agreed, never like paying over retail but the AD I had my name down with wouldnt even tell me where on their list I was let alone give me an indication how long the wait would be. So I guessed it’ll be the new year, and with the weak pound, and the inevitable price rises each year, I took a gamble. I’ll probably get a call tomorrow saying they’ve got one ::facepalm1::

Congratulations! Definitely a cool piece - 58 was hard to obtain in the beginning, 6 months to a year waitlist. Wear it in good health.

In a word, very.

Once you have grown accustomed to the lack of weight, I suspect you will love it. Congrats

Paying 300 over retail is way better than buying into this nonsense 👎

Congrats on your recent pick up.

Plus $ 50.00 shipping. Yep, when you go in hard you may as well go all the way.

Some people still believe that the white gold is premium for the chiringuito of the beach 😁

So mine arrived, it really is very nice, very very nice. Quick take always (only been wearing it for an hour). The dial looks matte, yes it’s a bit overcast today but I really can’t see the sunray dial. Definitely a good thing. The bezel, which I was a bit nervous about, works really well, it adds a bit of contrast from the dial and so keeps the dial looking the size it should be, if that makes sense. Comfort level is great, it’s like wearing a metal bracelet but the weight of a nato. It’s also got a nice bit of jangle to it, whilst not feeling cheap.
I have the bb58, but I definitely prefer the look and fell of the 39, honeymoon I know but super happy. Feels like a modern version of the Tudor sub from yester year.

Any chance of a few pics?

To be honest a few crappy iPhone pics won’t do it justice, like always seeing in person is the only way to judge. I took a punt as I hadn’t seen it in real life but I’m definitely happy. The bezel looks slightly grey in certain lights. I’d say it definitely wears smaller that the bb58, the dial is smaller so looks a bit more compact. I’d say it wears similar to a planet ocean 39.5 but thinner of course.

I agree with all you say. It’s definitely the closest Tudor have got to a sub reissue so far. The jangly bit is true too - I think it’s because the links all fully articulate so you can stack em up.

I am wearing mine today - I had my panda chrono on yesterday and you can definitely feel the difference.

all in all - it’s a really good watch. I’m not really sure why they’ve called it a pelagos as it’s only relation to the 42 is it’s made of titanium but taken as a watch in its own right it certainly ticks a lot of boxes for me.
