I wouldn't assume anything too nefarious is going on without proof, we've seen some pretty crazy shit (like briefcases full of Patek's/Ap's/etc). It's just how some people roll.

That's a fair point Trev.

I think it's the "here's some pictures and a question" and then... silence from the OP that's making this feel like a kinda weird thread.

Would be interesting to hear what the deal was/is with the watch and the ones in the background.

And what it was that made him question the authenticity?

Well real or fake...Its a most unattractive watch IMO. Hard to imagine PP would produce something that ugly.

I stand by the date wheels and subdial printing seems low quality for a Patek.

To everyone saying how ugly it is, the 5960P when first introduced by PP in 2006 (?) was voted watch of the year and it was so hot it was trading at 10k-20k OVER list. The pigs at PP made so many in house movements and flooded the market in every conceivable dial color and precious metal on straps then had one more bite at the Apple in stainless steel and bracelet. Wonder why its value is more than 50% off retail now?

I would be surprised if that was fake. I think it is loosing some of its presence with quality of the photos.
I have been comparing it with my 5035P and can find nothing wrong. The hallmarks are correct, pity we can't see the diamond between the lugs.

Fake. When you try on a real Patek you will understand. The finishing is spectacular. Not so here.

It's just the photography and lighting that's not ideal. Watch is legit (IMO).

We are telling you it is fake because it is NOT a Patek. What part of NO do you not understand? And why would you hijack someone else鈥檚 thread with your excuse for a prestige watch? And then come on with such an attitude?
