Patek 570 in steel...price trends

So I am working on another case number project, this time for the steel Patek 570.
The price trends all looked reasonable...until the latest sale in Geneva for 3.3m CHF.
Looks like I might need to move to a log scale 👎

I'm no expert, but that case appears to my eye to have been polished, and I'm not even certain that the approach is consistent with the original finish. But hey, when the SNB can print "money" out of thin air and buy stock with it, three million CHF isn't what is used to be, either. 😁

I was watching that item live, and was in total shock. 7x-8x the upper end of the pre-auction estimate IIRC.

I think the buyer must have gotten confused and thought he was buying an NFT of the watch instead.
