As Oddboy shows they now come with a glued on rubber grip:
The rubber fits the “old” openers too, but the holes in the rubber (for the bar) and the tunnel through the opener probably won’t line up perfectly. The rubber itself will be free, but with untracked shipping, envelope, a drive to the P.O. etc., you’ll probably still be facing $15-20
