I can't think how long I've had mine and I can only add praise for the quality of the tool. I bought the brass bar as well as the opener but have only had to use that once (in conjunction with a case holder and another pair of hands ... man, that 2998 did not want to open!). It's been used on a few Seamaster as well as a Mark II in addition to the Speedies.

I just got the latest model with the Tanzanite mounted insert. Looks fantastic , wife even wants to borrow it for special occasions. 👍

No room for improvement at all

sent mine to a machinist buddy to alter the top side to fit the adaptor for my Berg 5700: he did it, worked great, and he promptly missplaced it in his shop, it's been 2 years and no sign of it.
he also knurled the sides for better grip.

To bad, any alteration voids the warranty and free loss replacement guaranty 🙄

Indispensable tool especially with the rubber!
Knurling maybe the ends of the breakerbar about one to two cm?

I bought one to use in photo ops 😀

Must have for speedy freaks, but now looking at the list of watches it works on, might be time for those that don't have one to start placing father's day hints to the loved ones (would also love to see a mom here post that see received one for mother's day).

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just got mine and I'm a happy man.
Paul was a real gentleman through and through.
Now I just need to get a couple of Speedies from the safe because I can't open the 105012 and I'd rather not destroy it ::facepalm1::
