The one featured, sure is. I've had a few others that have come and gone, but this one is a keeper.

Love the facets on the lugs. Pics when I'm back at home .

I searched all over the web to find out what this watch was. There is one sitting in a case at my local jeweler on consignment. The owner wants $695 for it, but I was told I could offer a price. I dont want to totally insult the owner. I was thinking of offering $575. This would be my first high end watch and have always loved the the Omega Seamaster. I cannot afford the newer ones. Wanted to see what you and everyone think about the offer I want to make. This is a photo of the watch. Of course the band is not original would put a leather band on it. Can't believe the owner left a cheap chinese band on this beauty.

Judging by the mentioned asking price I assume it is a gold-capped example with SS back- right? How is the condition of the movement? Has it been serviced recently? The price is not outragious because its a chronometer...

Yes SS back. I was unable to have it opened up to see the internals. Just called the jeweler to get a service date for it. They said two years ago. I am a newbie to higher end watches. So I am learning about how often these automatic watches need to be services.

The price is OK if the watch is in good running order, but I’d try to get to about 600USD, too. Steel models might fetch a bit more.
