Doesn't compete with SPeedmasterfan88, But someone has polished the bezel off their Seamaster!

I had an SMP GMT come in for service once that had been completely polished shiny all over. Sides, steel part of the bezel, case back, and all the bracelet. Blingy to say the least, and the owner had done it all by hand with a Cape Cod cloth, and asked me not to fix it. Some people really like the shine I guess.

This is a combo: high polish + 'patina' dial.

For only USD 2,800.00 (give or take), found on ebay today.

Those poor old Mk.II's really do suffer the most, just noticed this on ebay completed listings...

The mkII-case might very well be nicknamed "the soap-bar-case" I see so many of these badly refinished.

Cheers,

Max

This is incredible. Why on earth would you do that

I don't understand why anyone would do that to a watch. No matter how bad it was before, after all that polishing they just turn into garbage. However the speedy mark II seems to be the polisher's favourite
