My nomination for week 23 of 2016: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-CON...809308?hash=item488e95869c:g:AjwAAOSwqBJXVyh0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I'm surprised that the seller had the discipline to not abuse the movement now he had the Dremmel out anyway. Feel free to try topping my candidate
What in the world is going on with that caseback?? Is that actually the result of a polishing attempt? And is that really the point where they stopped and thought, yeah that's the look I was after, it's perfect!!
Odd way to open a watch. Was he trying to dremel his way through to the dial or movement? If so, then it appears that he came fairly close to succeeding.
But "it's not showing much sign of wear" to quote the ad! Anyway, I think this first entry has completely killed the whole competition, at least I hope so...
You guys are rather harsh. You can plainly see he followed Omega's polishing instructions, as outlined in the refurbishment manual.
@ConElPueblo - I see your connie and raise you a speedy (FS from an Italian dealer) - how about them brushed lugs on a 105.002
I'm not convinced that it counts as a "raise", but a solid effort nonetheless! One has to be pretty daring to take sanding paper to a straight lug Speedmaster
I swear there should be an Interpol task force to detect, arrest and prosecute abusers of vintage watches.
