Yeah, I remember in 2003 it was $17 a share. This was just when the first iPod and iTunes was introduced.

I had a spare $5000 and I thought about it but spent the money on something else instead. I don't remember what. I refuse to do the math on what if.

Actually not even close. As cool as I thought iTunes and the iPods were I thought the iPhone - mainly it being an AT&T exclusive at first - was daft. AT&T's network really SUCKED big ones at the time. If I had bought at $17 I would have sold at $165. Still not a bad 2 year return...

I did something similar. Bought a company here called CSL at ~$3.24 a share in 1994. Sold it a few years later around $12. Pretty happy!
Now it is trading at $100 AND there has been a 3:1 stock split, so effectively at $300 per share I purchased back in 1994..... 🙁

But remember the famous observation on this topic by Bernard Baruch: "Nobody ever lost money taking a profit."

I'm sure we all have our Apple regrets. I sure do.

Ronald Wayne, on vacation in the UK, was not pleased to see this on his way to the tube.

No Big - I don't think you could buy a Dufour Duality for $440k. let alone a Grands Sonnerie.
Not to worry because I don't think you could find one for sale🙁

Yeah, they don't come up often, if at all. Neither does that sweet black dialed pink gold Roger Dubuis that Mel over on TZ owns.

It's hard for me to get my head around any Roger Dubuis, although Mel's is a beauty, when compared to any Dufour.

If I had saved up my money from my part-time job back in the mid 2000s and used it for a house deposit in Sydney - well, guess I'm stuck collecting watches and paying rent.
