Ostrich strap

Greetings all,
I recently saw an old 60s Datejust on a lovely looking (and feeling) ostrich strap. For the life of me, I can't find where to source this strap, or anything like it. There were no markings on the strap on inspection, and the dealer had no idea from where it came. Does anyone recognize it and/or know where i can procure one like it? I like the pale (rather than the more typical 'organgey') shade, with darker 'spots' and edges which i think make for an attractive patina. The 'squared off' end might be a helpful way of identifying.
Many thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

RIOS1931 makes a nice one. I have one on my 1950 Seamaster 2576.

I was for a time watching an auction for a Rolex ostrich strap in the same shade, however it was stamped Rolex, and looked much sharper than that. I ended up buying the Rios. Waited an inordinate amount of time for it to arrive from Germany, love the look of it, never wear it. (Bracelet guy.). PM me if you want a 19mm.

Interesting that you waited so long to receive your Rios strap. I’m located in the northeastern US and Rios has a distribution point in NY state. I usually receive my straps from them in 2-3 days.

I have one strap from Rios (not Ostrich) and have been happy with it. Planning to pick up a few more some time in the future.

I ordered one each in Cognac and Mahogany (now discontinued) September 2020. He had black, green, and navy in stock, which I declined, and I agreed to wait for it to arrive from Germany. In November, one arrived, and the Cognac was refunded. The one I received looks like Cognac, but now I don't know. Nice strap, has a great hand made feel to it. Their logistics leaves a little to be desired, but the strap itself is lovely.

Have you ever tried to catch an ostrich!
A full grown ostrich is nothing to mess with. That’s one bad ass bird and a descendant of the feathered dinosaurs. 😲

That's the best part, IMO: imagining the reactions of the people walking by the car, watching this insane drama pass by!

The ostrich strap with spots where quills were removed never really appealed to me, but a friend recently introduced to these ostrich leg straps, which are pretty interesting. This is one example, but they can be incredibly varied.
