I’ve found ostrich has to go several months of daily wear before getting a nice “burnished” patina to it. The rios one @gbesq posted would age gloriously I suspect. Just chiming in with that personal factoid - can’t really judge them brand new, when I think most sort of underwhelm and distract with their odd quill patch marks; have to wear one a while before they show their real beauty.

The leg leather and sueded ones definitely look interesting; have no experiences with those.

I like ostrich and have had a jacket, shoes, belt, wallet and, of course, watch straps made of the material. It wears well and takes on a nice patina. Here is an Aaron Bespoke grey ostrich leg on a Tokyo 2020 Omega Rising Sun.

I have this ostrich strap from Camille Fournet. The strap had to go through an exotic materials clearance procedures once arriving in the US which delayed delivery by about a week, but CF has a subsidiary in the US that handles the clearance procedures. So there was no additional customs work necessary on my end, but the delay is something to be aware of - this strap was actually a Christmas gift from my wife and it arrived in January.
