Huh? I'm no expert, but this guy is:
I edited my post. I am totally wrong. My family has a smaller operation, and none of our partner operations use hormones. I was wrong to think that extrapolated out over the industry.

Anyone who can bankrupt a casino is a special kind of businessman...
Just like MGM Resorts and Caesars Palace. Just to name a couple big ones. Guess they are shitty at casino business also.

It would be best if the beef industry in the US declined. It's terrible for the environment and terrible for human health. Trump is once again focused on the 1950's.

Regardless, the details are yet to be worked out. There's more methane coming out of Trump than a cow.

Not true. Beef is a great use of certain types of land not suitable for agriculture. Eating too much red meat has drawbacks, but to say it's unhealthy is simply not true. Any efficient use of land would make use of grazing farm animals.

And what is terrible for the environment is billions of humans. You should work on that if you want to lessen the impact cows have on the environment.

Trumps greatest victory is expanding the GOP, across all demographics, but particularly with the young. Geriatric limousine liberals, who have buried theses people for decades, are the ones who now cry the loudest. Even the younger green haired progressives are seen in much smaller numbers in the rallies around where I live.

The older Dems tend to blame Trump mainly for things they say are going to happen. Self loathing doomers, that sit on their ass and complain mainly about things they think will happen. They love to be victims.

I was pretty sure a lot of members would disagree. Meat-eaters vs Vegetarians is hotter than Rolex vs Omega. No value in arguing the merits here. Let's agree to disagree.

Regarding tariffs, what're your thoughts about including beef in a tariff discussion with the UK, or other countries?

OMG, you gone and done it. The OF gaggle that hates Trump put you on their list.

Don't forget the Americans of Latin and African descent. Young people like Trump because he says what is on his mind and is funny as hell.

Not from me! And I loathe chicken. There is much media hype around your chlorine washing of chicken over here. No doubt both will be bought and put into ultra processed ready meals and sold to the unwitting.
BBC reports:
Trade Minister Douglas Alexander has been updating MPs on the deal in the House of Commons.

In response to concerns the deal could lower food standards, he says imports of hormone-treated beef and chlorinated chicken will remain illegal.

Please, please, please can a reporter ask Trump to explain the plot of Star Wars. I just have to imagine he's never actually seen it, and you just know how amazing it would be.

"You know, very tragic those Star Wars; some of the worst wars ever lots of people say. There were big wars and little wars and all of them though were star wars. And there were good people on all sides. People with red swords and blue swords and purple swords."

It's weird, but a way to appease farmers, who have lost a ton of pork business with China.

Even though the tariffs are supposedly about manufacturing, creating good jobs, I partly think it's really just a way to weaken China. Their economy is hollow and weak right now, at a time when they are making strides with military technology. Cratering their economy is one sure way to fight back. We might see that all the deals are like this. Countries going close to 0 for 0, and big tariffs remaining on China until they agree to fairer trade policy.

The beef is just a sideshow.

The UK deal is a nothing-burger, barely moved the market. I'm hoping for more if there is a framework for a deal with Japan or India.
