Some observations for your sale: You missed the best time ( Christmas auctions ) for big Auction houses . Private sales do not get you the best prices in the moment
; The Economic outlook is too uncertain. You need an Omega factory certificate of Originality( movement number check ) , which takes time. If the movement is original and unmolested, it should have some oxydation on the copper/ red movement plating. And maybe the biggest problem could be the blank caseback. Ref. 2914-2 would be engraved. My guess is, that it is an factory replacement back, stamped on the inside and not yet engraved . I have a similar one for the Omega military 1953, who will fit your case , Btw..... Which would reduce the possible value quite a bit. And forget that "box and tag".... Has absolutely nothing to do with the watch. These questions should be addressed, if you look to maximise your value. Good luck !

Movement serial number indicates about 1957- which is right for a 2914 Railmaster. Yje bracelet is a correct 7077 (valuable) with endlinks n.6 (very valuable). Keep it until next summer and then give it to one of the big international action houses. In the while get it serviced by an independent, asking to have some fixative on the back of the hands (old luminous tents to brittle away) - and DO NOT touch the dial. Case only gets an ultrasonic bath. Get an Omega extract, get the bracelet serviced by a specialist. Throw away the box. Great find.

Could you take an on-focus image f the inside back?

I wouldn't. Why risk it if you are going to sell? Based on the photos, the sweep hand is moving, so the watch is running.

Get an Omega extract...
Definitely worth a try.

Very nice Railmaster.

Sell the box and hang tag, they have nothing to do with the watch (actually for a Speedy Reduced) and add no value if sold together.
There could be a chance you'd sell it on eBay and make a few bucks.

Don't do anything to the watch except get an Extract from Omega and store it safely. Any interference has the potential for damage so just leave it alone.

As per advice above, consult a qualified auction house and sell it when they recommend.

I love this Railmaster, I think it's underrated in general as Omega with respect to the Speedmaster/Seamaster but what a beautiful dial, index, hands... wow

OP: " ...the case in the back is completely bare....." ......
Think this was about the outside

Sure ; outside case back. 2914-2 has the Railmaster engraving. Which this example has not, if the OP is correct.

Actually, Ref 2914-2 Railmaster was produced both with, and without, the outer Railmaster engraving.

Your 2914-2 Railmaster is a very impressive example. Circa 1957-58. Appears to have the original 7077 bracelet and the first generation, single notch, end links. Is there a date on the bracelet? A pic of the crown as well? Quite a find. Congrats.
