Up for sale is a genuine Omega Speedmaster Professional 3861 sapphire+stainless steel screwdown caseback. It's in new condition. Bought this in 2022 with intent on installing on a hesalite 3861 Speedy, but since the white dial was just announced in sapphire only and that's the one I'm looking to purchase now, I no longer have a need for this.
The caseback is in immaculate condition. The marks on the steel part in the photos are just my fingerprint smudges on the mirror polishing. The sapphire is also perfect with a clear protective plastic on it so it looks dirty/distorted. There is a black Sharpie mark on the outside of the sapphire glass which can be easily wiped off with a Q-tip + rubbing alcohol. This mark is an indicator that is supposed to sit exactly at where the 12 o'clock marker is between the lugs on the opposite side after it is screwed down. It helps to ensure the proper tightness of the caseback without the use of a specialized torque wrench.
Allegedly, this caseback is a "plug & play" swap for the hesalite 3861 model, but I have not tested it. It is only guaranteed to fit the sapphire 3861. Experimental fitment on any other watch is at your own risk!

Yes, I know the price is high but that is what I paid for it and am not making money on selling this. Not super crazy considering the market prices for discontinued spare dials that were previously available for order to the public whereas this never was and is a very difficult part to obtain.
