Original dial/crown on 501?

Hi, thinking about this watch but wondering if it's a redial and if crown is original? Specifically, the black mark near bottom-left of 1 in 12 caught my attention. Also, would this be worth 1000+USD in your opinion? Apparently it's running but no service history available. Thanks for your help.

Could be an old redial, but I would give anything close to that price

With the poor engraving on the back. I wouldn't give Half that for the watch

For your reference, I recently bought the same model with a black dial (usually commands a premium) for USD 700 after service.
