Hello
I'm back again after some more opinions on this watch
I'm in the market for a 1960 seamaster and I've had a chat with Davidt from the advice from Dans to see if David had something for sale but he doesn't have anything at the moment but that's not a problem because I'm in no hurry but id like to know what people think about this watch, value is £500

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve. It’s impossible to be sure of the condition of the dial from those photos but I’d be 99% confident the dial on this one is poor.
These can be found in good knick with a bit of patience

Thanks David
It does look poor to me and I'm no expert.
Trouble is you look on ebay like you do and add a few in your watched items and you get bombarded with loads of offers and I just can't help looking at them.
I will carry on looking but like I said I'm in no rush

a common saying in watch collecting is you can pick two from the list below:
1. Good condition
2. Good price
3. Good availability

You can’t have all 3. I always chose good condition at a good price, with patience. If you want something quick you’ll have to compromise on price or quality (or get very lucky!)

Buy the nicest example within your budget with an original dial. If you would not be happy with the watch, keep saving until you can afford one you'll be happy with.

The photo is really bad, but I have a feeling that the dial is ugly.
