Thanks in advance, guys...I've been looking for a patinated Speedie, preferring a Transitional or earlier (though budget keeps me under 3.5K...

I can't see anything 'wrong' with this one except maybe too much polish..., seems mostly original? Seller says it was 'serviced' 8 months ago, so if true, that's a plus...

He's asking just over $4k, which is over my budget. I'll make a lower offer just under my max, me thinks.. seem reasonable?

Someone has been really messing with this bracelet.
Last link in hinge side of clasp cover on backwards.
Only 20 links out of 26 for full bracelet.
At least 4 of the Stretch links are gone.
And the tabs on the 516's don't look correct.(filed maybe or worse)
Not to mention the short endlinks.
Replace 516 endlinks, $225., if you can find them.
    Replace stretch links, $35. x4 = $140.
So $265. to make the bracelet right.

Didn't you and I discuss this watch earlier this month?

    The watch is fantastic.
The bracelet is short. Cheap fix.
The link you sent me on WUS didn't show the
    chopped down 516's

Yes, probably the item in the above link, as it was listed on eBay AND WUS.

Earlier today, I told him I wanted to make an offer after he answered some questions...

However, just now, he responded that the watch is now 'sold'...:(.

As usual John...Spot on! I just pulled-up the original link and no shots of the chopped down 516's. Makes me wonder why?

Unfortnunately, this is one of the pitfalls of publicly
    vetting a prospective purchase dougie

The second hand is not correct. It should have the flat bottom.

That's why I didn't link it, but that didn't do much good, I suppose!

I thought that was true for 67's where it was transitioned to during the middle, but late 67's forward had the flat bottom.
